



ResortsPARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT Like a number of bigtime ski areas Park City was once home to miners in search of precious metals. Today, a new breed of searcher comes looking for the area's legendary snow. Main Street is lined with boutiques, galleries, and restaurants that have managed to blend old with new. Nightlife, despite some long-held misconceptions to the contrary, bustles. The mountain itself is broad and steep, and offers some of the most varied terrain in the Wasatch range. Park City is home base for U.S. Skiing, the parent corporation of all the American snowsports teams. The resort is also the official training site of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard teams.Lodging Information: Approximately 17,000 pillows are available at the base of Park City Mountain Resort and in the surrounding town of Park City. Recreation Information: Ice skating, Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, theaters, galleries, shopping, and world-class dining. Cross Country Information: Not available at the resort, but classic and skate skiing tracks are located less than a mile away at the White Pine Touring Center. Services: Located 37 miles from Salt Lake International Airport with free town-wide bus service. Services include four mountain restaurants and several at the base, on-mountain performance demo center, rentals, and apparel, 14 lifts serving 100 trails, and snowmaking from top to bottom.
